On January 18, 1997 the Boeing F-model Super Hornet, piloted by US Navy Capt. Frank “Spanky” Morley , made its first landing on an aircraft carrier. The Super Hornet has the capability, flexibility and performance necessary to modernize the air or naval aviation forces of any country. Both the single seat E and two-seat F models convert quickly from one mission type to the next with the flip of a switch to provide consistent air dominance.
